Camelia Hosu
Hi! My name is Camelia and I love to make a difference in the lives of our pets. Dog walking is great exercise for both myself and your pet. I really enjoy the benefits of stress-free walks! My purpose with Boken Bowsers is to keep your pup’s regular routine. For me, each one of them is like my little Finny in my picture.
Will Strickland
Will Strickland is a recent graduate of Temple University (Philadelphia) and has been working with Boken Bowsers since August of this year. Will is originally from Athens, Georgia and enjoys traveling, going to concerts, and playing with Jimmy (his 2 year old Havenese). He is recently engaged and lives with his fiance and puppy in Hoboken.
Bernadette Gorczyca
Hello! My name is Bernadette and I am an avid dog lover! After moving to Hoboken this past Spring, I had to leave my beautiful pup George back home with my family. When I am not teaching high school English, I fill the large chasm in my heart through walking and sitting dogs in the neighborhood for Sarah. I have been with Boken Bowsers since June and am proud to be part of such an amazing company.
Jason Speight
Jason was born and raised in Kansas and has lived and worked with dogs for his entire life. He is particularly fond of working with the bigger or "troublesome" breeds. There is no such thing as a "bad dog", only a misunderstood one. At home he has an Aussie shepherd mix and a grumpy old Dachshund.
Melissa Napoleon
My name is Melissa, and I like long walks by the pier with dogs. But the apple fell pretty far from the tree; my mom is a bona fide cat lady, and I'm a recent dog-crazed convert. We always had a cat growing up, so I just assumed I was a cat person. But after a few close friends got married and adopted dogs (before having kids), I found myself wanting to visit them more often and offering to pet-sit anytime they were out of the house— grocery shopping, getting the mail—nothing was beneath me.
Luckily, I met Sarah before my friends realized I was using them for their dog. Also, living in a 5th floor walk-up in Hoboken precludes me from following through with my dog-owning fantasies, along with the obvious responsibilities I'm not mentally prepared for. So when I started working for Boken Bowsers in April of this year, it proved to be the answer to my dog fever, without compromising my friendships... My experience with dogs spans the length of time I've been an aunt. Shortly after my eldest nephew was born (ten years ago), my sister and brother-in-law got a puppy they named Jackson--a black lab/retriever mix who my nephew referred to as a “laptop”. From then on, Jackson, and now my two nephews and niece, became a package deal when it came to babysitting, and I take credit for their good behavior!
Keith Perez
Hi everyone! Keith Perez here. I'm a 24 year-old physically active individual who's ready to keep up the pace with all of your pups. My positive spirit is a key attitude I like to maintain in all areas of my life and definitely has a place when I'm walking dogs. There's no greater feeling spending time with those little buddies than by giving them the exercise and fresh air they need! New Jersey's been my home since the day I was born. About a year and a half ago, I moved from central Jersey up to the Jersey City area and have been loving it ever since. Most passionately, I'm a well-rounded artist advancing my talents that range between photography and music production. I have an incredibly imaginative perspective, and a highly optimistic one if I may add as well. That, along with my great love for nature and animals, is why I'm sure your dogs will have a great experience under my care!
Cheri Waterman
In a recent decision to peruse her dreams, Cheri left the corporate world and started Hip Chip (a local, organic custom cookie business). As an avid dog enthusiast, she decided that joining Boken Bowsers would be a great way to care for a pet while remaining active in the community. She found it easy to balance baking in between walking your pups. She is also working on partnering with Boken Bowsers to make yummy pet treats. Win-win!
Bill Bullock
Hello, my name is Bill Bullock and I have been working with Boken Bowsers for about one year now. I graduated from Rowan University with a B.A. of Sociology in December of 2010. I enjoy spending time with all sorts of animals. I also enjoy playing basically any sport. I live here in Hoboken with my girlfriend and our two dogs and one cat.
Kendall Phelps
Kendall has lived in New Jersey her whole life, and always knew she would work with animals in some way. After getting her BS from Rutgers University in Animal Science/Pre-Veterinary Medicine and working as a Veterinary Technician for several years, she became dissatisfied with how little she got to enjoy working with the animals. She is now pursuing her MA at Hunter College, lives in Hoboken with her puppy, and is excited to be a part of the Boken Bowsers pack!
Chris Grossi
Hi , my name is Chris Grossi, and there in our picture is my energetic Chihuahua, Rocco. We’ve had him for a couple of years now—raised him since he was just a few months old—so I know how much care and responsibility your dogs deserve. If yours is to you what mine is to me, then he’s nothing short of family! I’ve been a Hoboken resident for a few years now, and have recently decided to venture into massage therapy after many years of work as a customer service representative. I feel these times we live in are not so short on opportunity if people are willing to just think a little differently-- I am honored to bring my attention to detail to your loved one, and excited to get certified in March to practice touch therapy in the great state of New Jersey! I hope to combine both loves by also learning canine massage techniques soon!
